Siobhan has been to our school several times in the past few years in her capacity as an Educational Psychologist. Arranging a meeting has always been a timely and smooth process.

Siobhan collects her information from the written referral form (including parent voice), observation and discussion with relevant colleagues in school. She is extremely easy to work with and her professional judgements are insightful and supportive.

Following her consultations, school have been empowered to put her advice and strategies into action quicky and on many occasions we have gone on to use this as part of our evidence for funding and EHCN applications. It is without question that I fully recommend her – with the disclaimer that I don’t want her to become too busy!

Siobhan always responds promptly and is able to work with us within the timescale suggested. She observes and works with pupils which enables her to get a clear and accurate picture of the child, their strengths and needs. She will also meet parents as well as part of her consultancy process. The reports she produces are detailed and relevant and always included strategies/actions for school to support pupil’s moving forwards.

Siobhan has been a wonderful addition to our EP service. Her reports are always accurate and on time, giving a comprehensive picture of the child which leads to individualised provision and plans. Her psychological practice is child-led and positively framed, resulting in positive experiences for our parents.

I recently used Cheshire Education and Child Psychology services for a cognitive assessment for my son, aged 11 years, who was struggling with his reading and writing at school. Siobhan was highly professional and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain each step of the process in detail. Siobhan was warm and friendly, and made my son feel comfortable when completing the various tasks. She managed to get the best out of him and keep him engaged during the lengthy process. Siobhan also spent time with us as parents, listening to our concerns.

The assessment was thorough and insightful, and helped us as a family to understand not only our son’s challenges but also his cognitive strengths. This has allowed school to adapt teaching methods, resulting in a more effective and enjoyable learning experience for our child. Siobhan produced a detailed and comprehensive report, which included a diagnosis of Dyslexia, in addition to recommendations for teaching strategies, interventions and adaptations to his learning environment that would benefit our son at school.

The report produced by Siobhan was vital in securing an Educational Health Care Plan for our son, but more importantly, we now feel confident in supporting him during his academic journey; better equipped to advocate for his needs, and ensure that he receives the support he rightfully deserves.

I’m incredibly grateful for the comprehensive and compassionate approach taken throughout the assessment. It has truly made a difference in our ability to help him succeed.
