Needs Assessment & Reporting Services
The Cheshire Educational Psychology Service provides psychological advice to contribute towards the application for, and assessment of special educational needs for EHCPs. Psychological assessment and advice for mediation and tribunal can also be provided.
Additionally, assessment covering the four developmental areas are provided:
- Cognition and learning needs (e.g. processing, memory, dyslexia, attentional difficulties etc.)
- Communication and interaction needs (e.g. social communication)
- Social, emotional and mental health needs
- Sensory needs
The tools used to assess the above developmental areas include: observations; cognitive and psychological tests; consultations with students, teachers, and parents.
